PURPOSE:To obtain a micro television of less power consumption, by lessening the number of frames for one second. CONSTITUTION:Operation member 9 has a function, by which a sampling period of the still picture is set, besides functions of power on/off, adjustment of the sound volume, channel switching, etc. When a sampling period is set by the operation member 9, a sampling signal is oscillated periodically from a sampling circuit 8. When the sampling signal is inputted to a video signal processing circuit 4, one-frame components of the video signal are processed synchronously with the vertical synchronizing signal from a receiving circuit 1 and are stored in a memory circuit 5, and the video signal processing pauses till coming of the next sampling signal. The video signal stored in the memory circuit 5 is displayed as a still picture on a display device 7 through a display driving circuit 6 during the sampling time fixedly.
