Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform correct and rapid detection and indication of deterioration of a storage battery, by detecting the voltage between auxiliary electrode which are installed in each cell, by comparing this voltage with overall mean voltage in order to obtain the difference, and by indicating the ddterioration of the storage battery, if the difference exceeds a certain level. CONSTITUTION:In a battery having plural cells, auxiliary electrodes are installed in each of these plural cells, and the voltage between each auxiliary electrode is detected the average value of each voltage between the plural auxiliary electrodes is calculated through an arithmetic circuit. This calculated means value is compared with the detected value of the aforementioned auxiliary interelectrode voltage in a comparison circuit, and if the different output exceeds a certain level, the aforementioned storage battery is indicated to be in the deteriorated state.
