Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent release of a brake caused by an inertia force by means that after an armature inside a solenoid operating to release or apply a spring brake, positioned between an unexcited position and an excited position, is excited, the armature certainly turned to the unexcited position and then moved back to the excited position.
CONSTITUTION: A brake shoe 2 is pressed on a brake drum 1 by a spring 4 to inhibit the revolution of the drum 1 so that a brake is locked. That is, when a solenoid 6 is excited, an armature 7 is turned counterclockwise to pull down an arm 5 and its pinned upper end in a slot forces an arm 3 downward against a load of a spring 4.
