Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain different scanning speeds at the same speed by providing plural plane polyhedral mirrors each of which has plane reflecting faces and plural concave polyhedral mirrors each of which has the different number of faces from that of the plane polyhedral mirror, and equalizing the curvature of the concave face with each normal angle of revolution of both the plane and concave faces. CONSTITUTION:A plane polyhedral mirrorIwith n faces and a concave polyhedral mirror II with m faces are provided. When a straight line (a-b) is demoted as the plane polyhedral mirrorIand a curve (a-d-c) is regarded as the concave polyhedral mirror II in the drawing showing a part of these polyhedral mirrors, a straight line (O-Q1) with an angle theta' from a straight line (O-a) is the normal of the plane polyhedral mirrorIwhen a double rotation polyhedral mirror rotates by an angle theta' and similarly a straight line (O-Q2) with an angle theta'Xm/n from the straight ine (O-a) is the normal of the plane polyhedral mirrorIwhen the double rotation polyhedral mirror rotates by theta'Xm/n.
