Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the capability of follow-up to the fluctuation of a thermal load by a method wherein a pole change motor for driving a blower is used in an air conditioner for changing and controlling the sending air temperature in such an arrangement that the pole is made to increase or decrease in proportion to the fluctuation of the load.
CONSTITUTION: A pole change motor, for instance a 4p or 6p pole change motor is used as the one 9 for driving a blower 5. The motor is operated at 4p when a heating or cooling medium is loaded to the largest extent in midsummer or the coldest season, whereas in other cases the motor is operated at 6p to reduce the amount of sending air. On the other hand, the sending air temperature detected by a detector 8 in the form of a signal is used to control a control valve 7 for controlling the volume of a heating or cooling medium so that the sending air temperature is adjustable according to the indoor thermal load. The system thus constructed may reduce power consumption because it can follow up the fluctuation of the load.
