Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect constant atmization of fuel and smooth gasification process as well as to promote mixing of gasified fuel with air regardless of great variety of combustion rates by varying area of an air jet discharge outlet in accordance with combustion rates.
CONSTITUTION: In case of combustion at a large quantity combustion rate, a solenoid 16 is activated and the air jet discharge outlet 13 is widely opened with a movable sleeve 14 apart from a guide sleeve 8. A pump 12 and a blower 10 are in operation after an electromagnetic heater 3 is turned on to preheat a gasification unit 1. Fuel is fed through a pipe 11 into the gasification unit 1 and atomized by a high speed air jet discharged out of the air jet discharge outlet 13. The atomized fuel becomes gasified state by impingement against a side wall 2 and blows out of flame holes 6 where the gas is ignited and burns in blue flames. In case of operation at a minor quantity combustion rate, required power for the solenoid 16 is cut off and air jets are discharged through the small air jet discharge outlet 13 of a small opening which is formed at a gap between the pipe 11 and the movable sleeve 14.
