Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the starting on a steep ascent smooth, by automatically relesing the creep preventing action by a slope sensor on the steep ascent so as to let the driver to recognize that the car is on the steep ascent. CONSTITUTION:The automatic speed change gear for a car is provided with the creep preventing function for preventing frictional elements from burning out by a high temperature at the initial stage of engagement. This creep preventing function is constituted such that the hydraulic pressure Pe supplied via a 1-2 shift valve from an oil passage by the action, etc. of a stopping detecting valve 122 is supplied via oil passages 546, 547 to a brake 42 and a clutch 30 to stop the rotation of the input shaft. In this arrangement, the slope sensor 600 is connected in series in an electric circuit of a solenoid valve 124 that can put the creep preventing action in operation or out of opration. On a steep ascent, the sensor 600 is opened to deenergize the solenoid 124 to put the creep preventing function out of operation.
