Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce picture information accurately, by storing the occurrence time point of the next operation pulse on a basis of the output time point of the second sensor when a scanning desk goes and by generating the operation pulse after a prescribed time from the output time point of the second sensor when the scanning desk returns. CONSTITUTION:When the first sensor 9 generates the output at a time point t1 when a scanning desk 1 arrives at a position (b) by driving of a motor, a controller 12 operates immediately a pulse generator 14 to generate one head operation pulse P at every constant time T1, and the read or recording operation is performed, and this operation is terminated at a time point t2 when a counter 15 counts the n-th pulse. When the second sensor 10 generates the output at a time point t3 when the scanning desk 1 advances the scan to arrive at a position (c), a time T2 when the next pulse P is generated is measured and stored, and generation of the pulse P is stopped, and the scanning desk 1 is decelerated and is stopped on the going path at a position (d) to transfer to the returning path. On the returning path, the second sensor 10 generates the output at a position (c) to give a command to a timer circuit 13, and the operation pulse P is generated at a time point t7 after a time T1-T2, and the read or recording operation is performed.
