Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure relative position of a measuring point and an arrangement pattern in real time automatically, by rotary-scanning of the arrangement pattern whose slits are coded and interpreting codes. CONSTITUTION:A picture of a body to be tested 2 of a slit code pattern formed with 4 lines of slits 3- succeeding to codes formed with 3 lines of slits 3' to be fixed to specify the head, is drawn on a wall 3. When this body 2 is interpreted by rotary-scanning the body 2 with a periscope consisting of a reflecting mirror 12 and a trapezoidal prism 13 driven with a pulse motor 14 stepwise provided with a robot and receiving it with anindustrial TV11, slits A-D forming the slits 3 are automatically measured for the relative position between measuring points and the arrangement pattern through scanning rotary angles theta1-theta3 at scanning reception in real time, allowing to control the position control for robot or the like moving endlessly with high accuracy.
