Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve measuring capacity so as to correct the value of moisture content of grain immediately in accordance with the temperature variation of the grain, by providing a sensor for temperature correction to an electric resistance type measuring instrument for measuring the moisture content and electrically connecting the sensor to the measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION:A sensor for temperature correction 9 constituted of a thermistor is provided on the surface of an inner bottom wall of a hollow box-shaped receptacle 8 and a grain storing part 10 is established on the side of an electric resistance type measuring instrument 1 for measuring the moisture content. An electric circuit of the sensor 9 is electrically connected to that of the instrument 1 by a lead wire 11 and the instrument 1 is formed. Thereupon, when a part of sample grain is supplied from a throw-in opening 12 to the part 10, the temperature of the grain is measured by the sensor 9 and the moisture content is corrected immediately through the temperature correction circuit to display the accurate corrected moisture content.
