Abstract
PURPOSE: To lessen the difference of air gap and to apply an electric field to a matter to be almost uniformly, by fixing heating electrodes freely movably with respect to a driving gear or a fixing part for heating electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: The thawing device 1 consists of the top electrode 2, the bottom electrode 3, the plate 5 for placing the matter 4 to be thawed, the high-frequency oscillating part 6, and the electric source part 7 of high voltage. The top electrode 2 is movable vertically by the electrode driving part 8. The lift shaft 11 is connected to the top electrode 2 by the ball joints 9 and 10 through freely movable joints. In this construction, a high-frequency electric field is applied to the space between the electrodes 2 and 3, so that the matter to be thawed is heated and thawed by its dielectric constant. Consequently, even if there is some difference of thickness in the shape of the matter, the electrodes are sloped along the shape of the matter to be thawed, the difference of dielectric contant is neglected, to thaw it uniformly.
