Before an event trigger occurs, an A/D-converted trigger is only stored in the memory 8 and is not transferred to a main memory 16. When an event occurs, data stored in the memory 8 are transferred to the memory 16 in order from the oldest one, and data after the event has occured is also recorded in the memory 16 from the memory 8 continuously. Accordingly, a series of measured data including the data before the event has occurred are recorded as measuring and recording data.
