Abstract
PURPOSE:To arrange an original at the lateral reference face at the nipping part between a conveyor belt and a platen, by using an original attitude compensation roll which tilts to the conveying direction of the original and rotates independently. CONSTITUTION:An original 2 put into a chute 1 is fed until its tip touches an inlet gate 4 while correcting its attitude from an original oblique attitude compensation roll 3 which tilts to the conveying direction of original and rotates independently. Then a gate 4 is opened to convey the original 2 by the roll 3 until the tip of the original touches the nipping part between a conveyor belt 5 and a platen 6. Thus the attitude of the original 2 is compensated. In this case, if no corner resistance is obtained due to a gap A caused between an edge part of the original and a side plate 1a of the chute 1, the gate 4 is opened to shift laterally to the original when the original hits the nipping part between the belt 5 at pause and the platen 6 from the position of the gate 4. Thus the original receives the corner resistance.
