Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a counter flow type total-heat exchanger for the household air-conditioning or the like and make the efficiency thereof higher, by a method wherein both ends of rows of pipes are flatly sealed, and the sealed parts are divided at the center into right and left halves, which are alternately bonded and opened, then thus constituted row of pipes are laminated so that the bonded parts and the opened parts are alternately arranged. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger element is formed by horizontally arranging pipes 21, bonding sheets 22 and 23 to the front and rear end parts thereof from above and below, and vertically piling up these rows of pipes 21. Then, the sheets 22 and 23 are divided at the center into right and left halves, which are alternately bent upward and downward to form bent parts 22a and 22b. Then, the bent parts 22a and 22b of the vetically piled-up rows of pipes, corresponding to each other, are bonded together. Thereby, the fluid flowing inside and outside the pipes 21 flows out and in, alternately in the horizontal direction, in the passages defined by the bent parts 22a and 22b at both ends of the pipes 21 and forms counter flows. Thereby, a highly efficient heat exchanger can be obtained with a simple constitution.
