When the cassette is inverted and loaded for the side B, a connection between electrodes 10 and 8 is made. When a power source 15 is put to work with a pulse switch ON, FFs 13 and 14 and a differentiator 16 generates a control pulse in case that the same side is set twice, and a stop sensor is put in operation through a solenoid 19 to stop the driving of a tape. Thus, double recording is prevented.
