PURPOSE:To obtain a controller having the reduced malfunction of load due to the malfunction of a microcomputer, by providing a secondary microcomputer that assists a main microcomputer which gives the decision to the control of load, an AND circuit for the load control signal, etc. CONSTITUTION:A secondary microcomputer assists a main microcomputer that gives the decision to the control of load. In addition to this secondary microcomputer, an AND circuit for the load control signal and others are provided. The load is made to conduct only when all load signals supplied from the main and secondary microcomputers give the load conduction command. For instance, a main microcomputer 4 is connected to a secondary microcomputer 5 via a data transmission line as shown in the diagram. Then a load ON signal is delivered from a logical circuit 6 only when the load ON signals are delivered at a time from both microcomputers 4 and 5. Thus the load 8 is turned on through a driving circuit 7.
