Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a Karman vortex steet flowmeter permitting easy correction of instrumental errors by providing through-holes on the side face of a vortex generating body provided in a pipeline and changing the number of the through- holes in accordance with instrumental error. CONSTITUTION:A vortex generating body 2 having through-holes 3 is provided in a pipeline in which fluid flows, and the vortexes generated by the body 2 are detected, whereby flow rate is measured. The through-holes 3 are provided on the side face of the body 2, and an instrumental error E% changes with respect to a flow rate theta as shown in the figure when 3 pieces of the through- holes are provided, when 2 pieces are provided, when 1 piece is provided and when no through-holes are provided, and therefore, the correction of instrumental errors is accomplished easily by changing the number of the through-holes of the body 2 in accordance with the instrumental errors.
