Abstract
PURPOSE:To shift a print head rapidly without vibration to improve printing speed, by determining the duration of reverse rotation excitation by a time signal in a serial printer where the print head is shifted by a pluse motor. CONSTITUTION:In case that the load of a pulse motor is reduced in comparison with the standard, the normal rotation speed of the pulse motor is increased, and the occurrence time of position pulse SLP is made earlier after the start of normal rotation excitation due to command pulse STP; and if a bit output is generated from stage S11 of shift register 15, output A1 is generated from the first AND gate 20 to trigger the first monostable multivibrator, and normal rotation pulse MFP is generated after time T1. This duration T1 is longer in comparison with that for the standard load to give a proper control and consequently, the pulse motor stops at the objective step position. In case that the load of pulse motor 6 is increased, a shorter duration of reverse rotation excitation is determined, and the step motor stops at the objective step position rapidly.
