Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the heat transfer performance by reducing the deflection of the length of streamline between heat transfer plates to be widened in a heat exchanger of large capacity.
CONSTITUTION: The treatment liquid supplied from a treatment solution inlet 12a, being put in two in equal quantity to the right and left at the bank 18 of a treatment plate 10, flows along heat transfer surfaces 14 and is gathered at a distribution surface 13b. Meanwhile, the medium liquid flowing in from medium liquid flow-in ports 11a and 11c flows along heat transfer surfaces 21a and 21b partitioned by a bank 24 and discharged from flow-out ports 11b and 11d. Therefore, the heat exchanging action is performed independently on the right and left sides of the heat transfer surfaces of the treatment plate 10 and the medium liquid plate 19. In the device having the constitution equal to that narrow heat transfer plates are provided in parallel, the difference in the length of streamline between surfaces 14 and 21 is small and the difference in flow rate is reduced, thus the heat transfer performance being improved.
