Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the sealing property of a gasket by forming the cross-sectional shape of a gasket groove provided on a plate for heat exchange so that the outside pressure given by the compression of the gasket is applied evenly.
CONSTITUTION: The cross-sectional shape of the gasket groove 7 of a plate 5 is formed to be round, for instance, some flat bottom-surface of the groove being left. By this shape, partial application of outside pressure caused by the compression of a gasket 6 is prevented and the pressure turns to be applied equally to the gasket groove 7, thereby the bending of the outer edge part of the plate 5 by the pressure being prevented. Thus, the roll in the gasket 6 by the heat exchanging fluid is eliminated and the sealing property of the gakset is improved.
