Abstract
PURPOSE:To give excellent radiation characteristics and to make easy the adjustment of polarized waves, by inserting the double coaxial tube on the center axis of blown horn, taking the double coaxial tube as transmission system of high frequency power and making common use for the supporting pillar of the primary radiator. CONSTITUTION:A double coaxial tube 2 is made of metallic pipes 6a-6c to form coaxial transmission system for (x) and (y) polarized waves with the pipes 6a, 6b and 6b, 6c respectively. The conversion from the coaxial mode to the radiation mode, is made by a apir of slots 8a provided opposingly on the pipe 6a, pipes 6a, 6b and a short pin, for (y) polarized waves. After forming the mode converter for (y) polarized wave in the blown horn 3, the pipe 6a is cut off and the mode converter for (x) polarized waves is formed by pipes 6b, 6c.
