Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to control plasma ignition energy while cranking and to enable starting of plasma ignition of high energy. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition key 14 is set at ST position and a starter 15 is operated at the time of starting, a starting detection circuit 13 detects the starting signal, and its output signal is changed from ''1'' to ''0'', and triggered at this fall, thus a timer 16 producing an ON signal only for a predetermined time T. The ON signal becomes an input signal of an OR circuit 18, and energizes a relay for T seconds to perform a plasma ignition. At starting time when the output of the starting detection circuit 13 is ''0'', even when a ''1'' signal is produced from the above control circuit 12, the output of an AND circuit 17 is ''0''. Hence, a relay 83 is deactivated after the lapse of the set time, and the ignition energy thereafter is not supplied.
