PURPOSE:To enable the control of the speed in high accuracy of a motor even if its counter electromotive force produced at the stator winding of the brushless motor by applying the counter electromotive force through the emitter and the collector of a PNP transistor. CONSTITUTION:The control circuit for the brushless motor consists of signal detecting stage (a) for producing the motor rotation position as a pulse signal, a position detector (b), a drive circuit (c), a speed control circuit (d) and a counter electromotive force detector (e). The detector (e) is so formed as to detect the counter electromotive forces of coils L1, L2 through the collector and the emitter of lateral PNP transistors Qe1, Qe2. The detected value of the detector (e) is compared with a reference value through a current source circuit 7 by the control circuit (d) and is applied to the drive circuit (c). Accordingly, the voltage loss at the time of detecting the counter electromotive force can be extremely lowered, and even low speed motor can be effectively controlled on the basis of the counter electromotive force.
