PURPOSE:To set the terminal device under the make-busy state, by closing the make-busy switch by the indication of the control circuit in a line concentrator. CONSTITUTION:The carrier signal sent from the terminal device 1 is received at the interface circuit 11 of the line concentrator 10 and then sent to the crosspoint circuit 17 and also led into the carrier detecting circuit 18. The circuit 18 detects the carrier signal and then sends CD signal to the control circuit 19. The circuit 19 selects the crosspoint of the circuit 17 and sends the carrier signal to the antenna within the outgoing line. In case a certain terminal is put under the make-busy state, the prescribed make-busy switch 22 is closed by the circuit 19. Then the carrier signal is sent to the terminal from the make-busy carrier source 21 via the circuit 11 and the incoming line transmission line 23 to set the terminal device under the make-busy state.
