Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a backup by switching an optional using trunk circuit having a breakdown to the standby trunk circuit by exchanging the circuit control information of the trunk circuit control part within a multiplex collecting/distributing device. CONSTITUTION:The multiplex collecting/distributing device 12, when detecting the breakdown of the using trunk circuit 9, sets the control parameter of the standby trunk circuit 11 to the using trunk circuit control part 20 to which the control parameter of the circuit 9 is set. At the same time, an indication of exchange is given for the control parameter to the collecting/distributing device 8 of the terminal side from the device 12 through the normal using trunk circuit 10. Thus the device 8 performs an exchange of control parameter within the using trunk circuit control parts 17 and 19. As a result, the circuit 1 is used presently with the circuit 9 set for the standby purpose, and the input circuits 6 and 6' transmits the data via the circuit 11.
