Abstract
PURPOSE:To transmit the oscillated light of multiple wavelengths to an optical fiber by turning back the diffracted light of n-order of the semiconductor lasers placed on the focal plane of a plane diffraction grating by a corner mirror, and feeding the diffracted light of n-order diffracted twice respectively back to the semiconductor lasers. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor lasers 1(-) arrayed in one row on the focal plane of a diffraction grating 4 are disposed in a manner as to satisfy lambdai=dsinthetai. Here, (d) is the grating constant of the diffraction grating 4, lambdai is the wavelength of the oscillated light of the i-th semiconductor laser, and thetai is the incident angle of said light. Part of the primary diffracted light emits in the normal direction of the diffraction grating 4, is reflected by a corner mirror 5, is diffracted by the diffraction grating 4 and feeds back to the original semiconductor lasers 1, ..., whereby each oscillation wavelength is fixed. Part of the diffracted light of said laser light is sent via a spherical mirror 7 into an optical fiber 8. The same also occurs in a similar laser array parallel to the plane of the figure. Thereby, the light of multiple wavelengths is transmitted to the optical fiber 8.
