Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a concentrated discharge from occurrence by a method wherein two or more magnetic poles locally facing with each other are installed in a machining gap and a magnetic field operating part locally operating is moved. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic iron core 3 is inserted into an internal part of an electrode 1 and a plurality of magnetic poles 3a, 3b, 3c... operating locally to machining surface are provided on the iron core 3. Each exciting coils 4a, 4b, 4c... corresponding to each magnetic pole respectively is installed and a magnetic flux is generated locally to operate. Each coil 4a, 4b, 4c... is formed into a three phase winding so as to make the excitation move from the left to the right in the same manner as in a linear motor and a three phase power source 5 is connected thereto as an excitation power source. With this constitution, during a processing, the magnetic flux of each magnetic pole 3a, 3b, 3c... is generated to operate while in moving.
