Abstract

PURPOSE: To intend a step decrease and a cost down by inserting a plurality of cutting tools having different length on a same base disk and performing from a rough machining to a precision finishing at one process.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of cutting tool groups 2 consisted of a cemented carbide alloy are inserted on a milling base body 1 made of a carbon steel and the like. The cutting tools 21W26 of said cutting tool groups 2 are inserted respectively on different circles along the edge of the circumference of the base body 1 at equivalent angles. The heights of the cutters are made to be H1<H2<H3<H4<H5<H6. The circles on which cutting tools are inserted have such size relations as D1>D2>D3> D4>D5>D6, and the cutters 21W26 are inserted being apart by 60° in order. When the breadth of a material to be worked is less than the diameter of D6, a smooth finishing surface can be obtained at one process, while when it is larger, the operation may be repeated by the breadth thereof.
