Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the simultaneous treatment of the cutting of an outer diameter and boring thereof by selecting a plurality of tools on a cutting tool table in accordance with the instruction of the tool selection of an NC device.
CONSTITUTION: A headstock 101 which supports a blank W rotatively slides along a bed 100 and is numerically controlled in the Z axis direction (main shaft direction) by a servomotor 106 of the Z shaft controlled by an NC device through a ball screw 107. A boring attachment 102 is given a rotation by a motor 104. A tool frame 103 is fixed on the bed 100 and cutting tool tables 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are secured radially arround the blank W. These cutting tool tables are controlled numerically by a servomotor 22 of the X axis through a ring screw 20, connecting means 13W17 and feed levers 8W12, and the blank is worked with a high accuracy adjacent to a guide bush 23.
