Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a composite molding material with low workability by a small-size device by bringing a composite wire of joined metals and an aluminum bar into contact and, at the same time, by roll-welding them continuously by a plastic working device. CONSTITUTION:Composite wire 3 obtained by cladding stainless steel wire 14 and Al wire 15 is drawn from composite-wire supplier 1 as shown by arrow 11 and, after its surface is cleaned by cleaning device 5 to roughen the surface of Al wire 15, heated by heater 6. Then, Al bar 4 is drawn from Al-bar supplier 2 and, after being cleaned by cleaning device 6, heated by heater 6. Heated composite wire 3 and Al bar 4, while Al wire 15 of composite wire 3 is brought into contact with Al bar 4, are sent to plastic working device 7 at the same time and rolled, bonded and shaped to form molding material 9, which is cooled by cooling device 8 and wound around take-up machine 10 to manufacture a long-sized composite molding material.
