Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an impurity eliminated ferrite of high quality by a metod wherein crude iron oxide obtained from a residue of a zinc refining is pressed and leached through a mineral acid and then, it is mixed with iron chloride and is roasted through aeration. CONSTITUTION:A zinc leaching residue in a wet zinc refining is leached through acid and from this leached liquid, iron is precipitated in a hematitic type and crude iron oxide is separated. This crude iron oxide is leached by pressure through a mineral acid (HNO3, H2SO4, HCl) and Zn, Ca, Al2O3 and others are leached. Next thereto, iron chloride is added thereto, and the leached liquid is roasted (less than 900 deg.C) by aeration and S and As are effectively eliminated. The elimination of S and As can be performed in a low temperature, as a result, grinding after a sintering becomes easy. With this, from a residue of a zinc refining, an impurity eliminated ferrite of high quality can be formed.
