PURPOSE:To detect faults of the information transmission line and the fault detection object processor simultaneously, by returning fault detection information of the fault detection object processor and fault detection request information from the fault control processor to the fault control processor. CONSTITUTION:Fault control processor SP is provided in the electronic exchange of the multiprocessor system which performs the function distributed control. Fault detection request data is transmitted from this processor SP to fault detection object processor HP through the information transmission line, and fault detection object processor HP receives this data and performs fault detection of devices controlled by itself and returns fault detection request information received from fault control processor SP and fault information of fault detection object processor HP to fault control processor SP through the information transmission line. Fault control processor SP analyzes these information to detect anomaly of the information transmission line and fault detection object processor HP simultaneously.
