Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform gain adjustment adapted to level fluctuation of the television signal, by utilizing that the carrier wave amplitude of the sound signal is fixed to separate this carrier wave by the filter and by providing an automatic gain adjusting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The video signal which is generated by television camera 1 and is subjected to amplitude modulation and the sound signal which is generated by microphone 2 and is subjected to frequency modulation are mixed by mixer 3. They are converted by electric-photo converter 4 and are transmitted through optical fiber transmission line 5. In the receiving side, this video signal is converted by photo-electric converter 6 and is output from output amplifier 8 through gain adjusting circuit 7. The carrier wave of the frequency modulation signal of sound is output from this output by band filter 10 and is subjected to peak detection in 11 and is converted to a DC value. This DC output is compared with reference voltage 12, and the control voltage of gain adjusting circuit 7 is so changed that their difference components are zero.
