Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, having improved preventing effects on attaching of shellfishes, algae and slime for a long term, and prepared by mixing a carboxylic acid with a copolymer of a monomer containing a tertiary amino group and a monomer copolymerizable therewith.
CONSTITUTION: (C) A carboxylic acid, e.g. (meth)acrylic acid, in an amount in the range of 10mol% or more based on a copolymer to the number of moles of a component (A) is mixed with the copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (A) 20W 60wt% polymerizable monomer having a tertiary amino group expressed by the formula (R1 is H or CH3; R2 and R3 are 1W4C hydrocarbon), e.g. dimethylaminoethyl acrylate, with (B) 80W40wt% polymerizable monomer copolymerizable with the component (A), e.g. (meth)acrylic ester, to give the aimed composition.
