Abstract

CONSTITUTION: This reference substance for measuring free fatty acid in body fluid contains one or more kinds of higher fatty acids or their salts and protein. The higher fatty acids include palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linolic acid and myristic acid. Their salts are alkali metal salts such as Na and K salts, and salts existing in blood in rich amount are preferably used. Albumin, globulin, gelatin or the like is used as the protein.
