Abstract

PURPOSE: To present a device capable of satisfying special purposes such as measurement of cerebral circulation quantity requiring high sensitivity and exact location of position, by making part of radiation transmission holes in larger diameter than the other radiation transmission holes.
CONSTITUTION: A collimator 2 has a plurality of large-diameter radiation transmission holes 21 provided in the central part thereof, and has similar small-diameter radiation transmission holes 22 provided in the other parts. By providing the transmission holes 21, a locally high sensitivity part is formed in the central part, where the resolving power lowers but the sensitivity rises. By so constituting, the sensitivity of desired location is increased, and the measuring precision may be enhanced. Therefore, the contour and shape of the organs of the intended location and the neighboring organs may be clearly observed, so that the relation between the entire organ and the measured part may be understood clearly. Thus is presented a collimator device, used in a scintilation camera or the like, which can satisfy special purposes as in the case of measurement of cerebral circulation quantity requiring high sensitivity and exact location of position.
