Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a tubeless tire having a good air keepability and an uniform thickness by a procedure in which a fluid prevention layer and an air impervious layer are polymerized, electron rays are irradiated to such a extent that a tackiness remains over an area from the sides to the surface of the fluid prevention layer, and then tire constituents are orderly bonded and vulcanized.
CONSTITUTION: On a fluid prevention layer 1 made of a polymer blend containing NR, SBR, or a sulfer-vulcanizable elsatomer and 5W30% a halogenated butyl rubber, an air impervious layer 2 made of a polymer blend containing NR, SBR, or a sulfer-vulcanizable elastomer and 50W95% a halogenated butyl rubber is laminated. Then, electron rays of 1W10 Mrad are irradiated onto an area from the side to the surface of the fluid prevention layer 1 so that the area is hardened to an extent that a tackiness remains on the surface of the fluid prevention layer 1 in order form an inner liner material. And, in such a way that the fluid prevention layer 1 side touches with the carcass cord ply layer 4 of a tire, the inner liner layer 3, the carcass cord ply layer 4, and other tire constituents are orderly bonded and then vulcanized to obtain a tubeless tire.
