Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable automatic equalization of high precision, by extracting a control signal for slope AGC from the output of an automatic equalizing (AEQ) circuit. CONSTITUTION:A PCM signal whose waveform is distorted is applied to input point 1 and the waveform distortion is equalized by slope AGC circuit 2. The control signal at that time is used by being fed back from output point 5 for the waveform having inter-code interference at a control sampling point removed by AEQ circuit 4. The output of circuit 2 is applied to AEQ circuit 4 to equalize the inter-code interference. Control loop time constant T1 of circuit 2 is set smaller than time constant T2 of circuit 4, so that the PCM regenerative repeater in any state can be brought under normal control.
