Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a miniature and lightweight frequency multiplier by coupling an input-output stage and multiplying stage, made of micro strip lines, together via a dielectric resonator. CONSTITUTION:A signal of frequency f1 inputted to input strip line 11 is inputted to varactor 15 via dielectric resonator 12. With this signal, higher harmonics are generated because of the nonlinearity of the varactor. Among those higher harmonics, only a signal of desired frequency f2 is extracted from output strip line 21 via dielectric resonator 20. The circuit is made into a micro-integrated circuit (MIC) on one substrate and covered with a metallic cover entirely. At the opposite position of the metallic cover to the dielectric resonator, a screw for frequency adjustment is provided.
