Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable conversion between a coaxial circuit and microstrip circuit while holding impedance matching excellent over a wide range, by removing the impedance discontinuous part of a coaxial microstrip converter. CONSTITUTION:External conductor 2 of a coaxial line is connected to external conversion conductor 11, and center conductor 1 to internal conversion conductor 10 respectively; and part of external conductor 11 is gradually cut in the traveling direction of radio waves and its area (called impedance gas 12) increases. So that internal conductor 10 and external conductor 11 will not cause line impedance mismatching, internal conductor 10 gets eccentric and varies in shape in the traveling direction of radio waves. This conductor 10 is connected to strip circuit conductor 4 of the microstrip line and the remaining conductor 11 after cutting is connected to earth conductor 5 to remove the discontinuous impedance mismatching.
