Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize effectively the heat energy of the atomosphere in addition to the solar energy by arranging a heat transmitting plate having an upside-down-U-shaped cross section, a heat absorbing plate and a transparent plate in this order from the inside in the vertical direction with a certain space between each of the plates.
CONSTITUTION: A ventilation chamber 1 which is closed at the top and opened 9 at the bottom is formed by the heat transmitting plate 4 of copper sheet or steel sheet. Outside of the heat transmitting plate 4 is arranged the heat absorbing plate 5 coating with a black paint with a space therebetween. The space is used as a water chamber 2, which is closed at the bottom and provided at the top with a hot water discharging port 7 and at the bottom with a water supply port 8. Outside of the heat absorbing plate 5 is arranged the transparent plate 6 with a space therebetween. The space is used as an air chamber 3 which is entirely closed. The sun rays pass through the transparent plate 6 and the air within the air chamber 3. The radiated heat by the air is absorbed by the heat absorbing plate 5 to heat the water within the water chamber 2.
