Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a contact can having a firmly bonded side seam and stable adhesion strength, by high-speed adhesion of the joining edge portion of a can material coated with a primer, by use of a specified crystalline linear polyamide resin adhesive, in a short period of time.
CONSTITUTION: A crystalline linear polyamide resin of relative viscosity 1.5W2.7 and terminal amino group concentration 1.3×10-5molW10.0×10-5/g, obtained by the polymerization of 85wt% or more ω-lauro-lactam with 15wt% or less other polyamide-formable components (e.g., ε-caprolactam or adipic acid), is molded into a film of crystallization degree 20W40% and thickness 25W80μ, to obtain an adhesive. After the joining edge portion of a can material coated with a heat- curable epoxyphenol resin primer, is heated and said adhesive is heat bonded, it is contact bonded under a pressing force of several to several hundred kg/cm2 at 150W300°C for 20W100 milliseconds, and then cooled.
