Abstract
PURPOSE: An insecticide for cloth that contains the ester from 1-ethynyl-2-methyl-2- pentenyl alcohol and 2,2,3,3-tetramethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid as an effective component, thus having high vapor pressure and exerting immediate effect.
CONSTITUTION: The insecticide for cloths contains at least one selected from the group consisting of esters obtained from 1-ethynyl-2-methyl-2-pentenyl alcohol and 2,2,3,3-tetramethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2',2'-dichloro-vinyl) cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid and 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2'-methyl-1'-propenyl)-cyclopropane carboxylic acid such as a compound of formula II as an effective component.
EFFECT: The insecticide is substantially odorless and very low in toxicity. Further, it shows satisfactory insecticidal effect even in the application of a small amount of it and keeps a high level of efficacy for a long time.
