Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a television multiplex character broadcast receiver which can obtain the hard copy of a character broadcast picture without reference to whether the character broadcast picture is projected on a screen. CONSTITUTION:With a syncronizing signal from video detector 4, character multiplex signal decoder circuit 10 extracts a signal of a horizontal scanning period including character information from the output signal of amplifier 5 to reproduce character information. This character information is applied to switches 30 and 32 by way of parallel-series converting circuit 22. The signal having passed through switch 30 is projected on picture tube 7 being superposed upon another video signal through the operation of blanking pulses from pulse generator 27. The signal having passed through switch 32 is applied to copying device 33. Through decoder 40, control key unit 34 exercises control over switches 30-32 and copying device 33 in addition to the selection of a character program.
