Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reproduce the artificial halftone by processing black-and-white binary signals of facsimile communication in two dimensions. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal consisting of a black-and-white binary signal is integrated in two dimensions to scatter recording dots evenly as much as possible. Namely, groups of picture elements distributed in two dimensions are formed while the total sum of picture-element levels approximates to constant value VT and for one group, one recording pulse in generated to distribute recording dots in two dimensions, thereby producing the halftone.
