Abstract

PURPOSE:To intend a high velocity driving by dividing driving parts corresponding to each heating element respectively into even number groups and odd number groups, thereby performing a driving control taking a data tranport timing in each group. CONSTITUTION:When a driving device of a thermal recording head is made to IC, odd number group and even number groups among the driving parts of heating elements H which are blocked every n groups, are made to IC chip respectively. These are arranged correspondingly at both sides of the heating elements and set on various kinds of lines through tape carriers 6 respectively. Thus, since a space between terminals 13 connected to the corresponding heating element H from each IC chip 51 and 52 can widen, the contact of a pad and a vamp adjacent to each other does not occur. Further, the intent of higher density assembly is possible together with making the drawing out treatment of the terminal 13 easy.
