Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit a volume of data econimically by using properly a time- division multiplex system and wavelength-division multiplex system. CONSTITUTION:Bit-synchronizing signal generating circuit 1 and frame-synchronizing signal generating circuit 2 for the TDM (time-division multiplex) system, connected to light emitting element 7 emitting light of waveform lambda1 and light emitting element 7 emitting light of wavelength lambda2, output each light into single fiber cable 8. Analog signals such as aural signals from ratio set 4, etc., are input to light emitting element 7 that emits light of wavelength lambda3, which outputs AM- modulated light which corresponds to each aural signal. Further, sensors are connected to scanning circuit 5, where data are converted into series data of a TDM signal as a result of its scans, and they are led to light emitting element 7 emitting light of wavelength lambda4 before being output into single fiber cable 8.
