Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate low-frequency vibrations, and provide a mirror traveling device of good resolution and sharpness and high reliability by making optical system mirrors run by means of the needles of linear motors.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a flat-platelike yoke 32A and a U-shaped yoke 32B are joined and a permanent magnet 33 is abutted on the inside surface of the yoke 32. The 1st, 2nd bobbins 34, 35 are movably fitted to the yoke 32A, and the 1st, 2nd energizing coils 36, 37 are wound at predetermined number of turns respectively thereto. The 1st, 2nd reflection mirrors 2, 4 are supported by means of the bobbins 34, 35 and bearings 40. If with this constitution, current is flowed discreately to the coils 36, 37, a field magnetic flux is formed between the yokes 32A and 32B by the magnet 33, and therefore, the mutual action of this with the coil current causes the bobbins 34, 35 to move in the same direction along the yoke 34A together with mirrors 2, 4. The moving speed thereof is controllable by the amperages of the coils 36, 37. Since the mirrors are made run by the needles of the linear motors in this way, the vibrations may be removed.
