Abstract

PURPOSE:To move the optical system to the imaging point of variable power images by forming a linear motor with two yokes, two magnetic poles and a moving coil which is wound slidably to the yokes and controlling the polarity and intensity of excitation of the moving coil. CONSTITUTION:This is the copying system comprising obtaining the image of a desired magnification on the exposure plane 4 by moving the optical system installed between the original plane 1 and exposure plane 4 in the direction o-o perpendicular to the orignal plane 1 by the distance by which the image of the desired variable power may be obtained, wherein the linear motor is constituted by the two opposedly disposed magnets 20a, 20b and the moving coil 19 slidly wound to the yokes 18a, 18b existing within the even magnetic field thereof and extending in the direction orthogonal to the direction of the magnetic field and the polarity and internsity of the electric power to be applied to the moving coil 19 are controlled, whereby the optical system integrated with the moving coil is moved by the distance necessary for forming of the variable power images in the perpendicular direction o-o.
