Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform an information write-in by correcting an optical quantity unevenness at each main scanning by a method wherein a light quantity of a laser beam is detected by utilizing an optical detector for a laser beam modulation timing detection and an output of a laser is controlled.
CONSTITUTION: A laser beam emitted into an optical detector 13 is converted into a current and is amplified through an amplifier 15. An output signal of the amplifier 15 is compared with a voltage of a reference voltage source 19 through a comparator 16 and is changed into a binary value and it is differentiated in a differentiation circuit composed of a capacitor 20 and a resistor 25 and further, its waveform is shaped through a transistor 17 to become a signal. This signal decides a start timing of an input signal to a light modulator 6 and at the same time, it is applied to the base of a transistor 18. At each scanning of a laser beam, the output voltage of the amplifier 15 is applied to a capacitor 21 through the transistor 18 and it is retained until the next laser beam scanning. The voltage of the capacitor 21 is applied to a positive terminal of an amplifier 14 as a reference voltage of a semiconductor laser driving circuit and a driving current of a semiconductor laser 1 is controlled.
